“Alexander the Great” is still Alive in India!!!
Who doesn’t know the King of the Ancient days who instead of commanding his soldiers from behind, lead his battalion right from the front. Even when his battalion would fear to face the opponents who were of a much larger number than that of his own, he would march on as a mighty emperor who cared for the least of his own with no doubt at all on his victory, a true warrior!
There is no other crown that we consider best to him than that of “Alexander the Great”.
Dr. Alexander Jacob taught how social reforming can be done through one’s career. A perfect example as a man whose approach was inwards. Be it his honesty and dedication to his job, be it his quest to learn, be it the social approach to bring human under one umbrella, be it his spirit of faith in God.
Police officers are of vivid kind as witnessed by the world. But here is a police officer who had a vision beyond the walls in which were written his roles and responsibilities. A police officer who took keen interest to guide the inmates of the jail to a better life, Someone who trained police officials for a better understanding on how to lead their life as part of the police wing, A coach to help students progress in public examinations and so many other prominent roles he donned for the betterment of the society.
We consider him as first the humanitarian and second the Police officer.
He was awarded the President’s ‘Police Medal’ for Meritorious Service by the President of India on the Republic Day, 2004.
We hereby stop writing about this Genius. Because we find it difficult to describe the qualities of this great man with our choice of words. We leave it right here, half written justifying that what is written is good and what is left unwritten is beyond good, it is fabulous.
